Yes. The Loving Eggs are made from 100% food-grade platinum silicone, a non-toxic material free from BPA, PVC, phthalates, latex, and lead. They are also tested for other harmful substances, including cadmium, mercury, and arsenic, and contain no harmful fillers commonly found in lower-quality silicone products.

Does Silicone Have a Smell — and What Should You Do?

You may notice a light “new” scent when first unboxing your Loving Egg. This is completely normal and safe.

Each Loving Egg is crafted from 100% platinum food-grade silicone, cured at high temperatures to create a stable, durable, and non-toxic material. To keep your product clean and protected during transit, it is sealed soon after production. Occasionally, a faint scent from the heat-curing process can become temporarily enclosed inside the packaging.

This is not chemical off-gassing, nor does it indicate the presence of harmful additives or fillers. It is simply a natural byproduct of the curing process and will dissipate quickly.

Because we use high-quality platinum silicone, the scent is temporary and easy to eliminate.

 Place the product in boiling water for 5 minutes.

Option 2: Air Dry
 Allow it to air dry in a well-ventilated area.

Warmth and airflow help release any remaining traces naturally. After this simple step, your Loving Egg will return to its clean, neutral state — ready for safe play and everyday use.

After facing ovarian cancer and an unexpected path to motherhood, our founder became more aware of how everyday products affect our health and the planet.
